If you've ever lost a friend, you'd know how I feel,

I only had you for a few days, but the connection was real.

I wasn't even around to say my last goodbye,

Because heaven knows I'd try it all to keep you alive

And even saying that you're gone feels so wrong

I wish I could keep you around for another play time,

But memories don't fade away, you're still on my mind

Hey pal, I wish you would come back and tell me how and why,

But I probably didn't understand, even though you've tried,

I know God is never wrong, but this just doesn't seem right.
