All my life I felt as if the white was overshadowed by the black

And if after my life's storm, a rainbow could ever show up intact

It was if the colors of life's rainbow had quietly been erased,

And the black and white rainbow had somehow been embraced

It felt as if the temporary happiness would somehow ease the pain,

But after this feeling vanished, darkness would inject itself again

This burnt my dreams before the light of day,

But it somehow forgot to blow the ashes away.

It felt as if the past was being repeated when i saw the ashes that remained,

All the hopes and dreams, the prayers they seemed all in vain.

My vision had been blurred from all the tears I cried

I elevated my heart and started to scream why!?

But the black and white rainbow had suddenly reappear,

And a voice in the distance, whispered "this life isn't fair"
